Soccer: Lake Worth Christian girls earn shutout


Brooke Santiago and Angelina LoFranco each scored a goal, leading the Lake Worth Christian girls soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Somerset Canyons on Friday night in Boynton Beach.

With the win, the Defenders improved to 15-1 on the season.

Inlet Grove 2, Lake Worth 1: Malia Doublas and Danica Jean each scored a goal as the Hurricanes (6-9) edged the Trojans in Lake Worth.

American Heritage 1, Suncoast 0: Lexi Hiltunen scored the lone goal and Jonelle Barron had eight saves for her fifth shutout as the Stallions (6-1-2) defeated the Chargers in Delray Beach.

Oxbridge Academy 7, St. John Paul II Academy 0: Lizzy Spears had a hat trick, and Allison Breed added two goals to lead the ThunderWolves (6-1-2) past the Eagles.

Lake Worth 8, Inlet Grove 0: Marc Bartelony scored two goals as the Trojans rolled over the Hurricanes in Lake Worth.

Boca Raton Christian 6, Sagemont 0: Giacomo Fabiani’s had two goals and an assist, Matheus Baldini’s added a goal and two assists and Joshua Trevino earned the shutout as the Blazers (7-4-2) shut down the Lions in Boca Raton.
