Soccer: Lake Worth boys rout Cardinal Newman

Bill Joseph, Angel Cabrera, Jean Kerlin, Will Rivera and Javier Cabrera each scored a goal, leading the Lake Worth boys soccer team to a 5-1 victory over Cardinal Newman on Tuesday in Lake Worth.

With the win, the Trojans improved to 11-3-2 on the season.

Spanish River 2, Deerfield Beach 2: Alex Vanderlunde and Greg Boko each scored a goal as the Sharks (9-10-2) tied in Boca Raton.

Trinity Christian 3, Donna Klein Academy 1: Rogeni Decaster had a goal and an assist and Sergio Chois added a goal as the Warriors (9-2-4) defeated the Eagles in Lake Worth.

Boca Raton Christian 6, Lake Worth Christian 1: Alden Stacie scored a goal and Nicolas Adolphy had 10 saves and James Berry had 14 saves, but the Defenders (4-10-2) fell to the Blazers in Boca Raton.


Saint John Paul II 7, Pompano Beach-Highlands Christian 0: Erika Dagher had two goals and an assist, leading the top-seeded Eagles (13-4-1) to the rout of the fifth-seeded Knights in a District 12-1A semifinal in Boca Raton. Maria Liguori added two goals, Danielle Farinas contributed a goal and two assists and Nicole Sous earned her fifth shutout of the season.
