Soccer: John I. Leonard improves to 3-0


Juan Cardoza and David Molena each scored a goal, leding the undefeated John I. Leonard boys soccer team to a 3-1 victory over Boca Raton on Wednesday night in Greenacres.

With the victory, the Lancers improved to 3-0 on the season.

Benjamin 3, Oxbridge Academy 0: Nicolas Betchold scored two goals, Cameron Murphy added a goal and Zander Valentini had four saves as the Buccaneers (2-1-0) shut down the ThunderWolves in Palm Beach Gardens.

Seminole Ridge 1, Lake Worth 1: Bill Joseph scored a goal as the Trojans (2-0-1) tied the Hawks in Lake Worth.

Royal Palm Beach 3, Santaluces 2: Nate Johnson, William Destina, and Reggie Pierre each scored a goal, helping the Wildcats (3-2-1) hold off the Chiefs in Lantana.

Park Vista 6, Seminole Ridge 1: Sebastian Sagnotti had three goals and an assist, leading the Cobras (2-0-0) over the Hawks late Tuesday in Lake Worth.

Oxbridge Academy 2, St. Andrew’s 2: Bradedon Rupp and Yasin Shakir each scored a goal as the ThunderWolves (1-2-1) tied the Scots in West Palm Beach.

Boynton Beach 2, Olympic Heights 1: Kymani King scored both goals as the Tigers (3-0-1) topped the Lions in Boca Raton.

GIRLS SOCCER

Cardinal Newman 8, Palm Beach Lakes 0: Jennifer Jacobs scored three goals and Maggie Rochefort added two as the Crusaders routed the Rams in West Palm Beach.

Wellington 1, Palm Beach Central 0: Lauren Auger scored the only goal, as the Wolverines (5-0-1) edged the Broncos (2-2) in Wellington.
