Roundup: Saint John Paul II girls lacrosse edges Benjamin


The Saint John Paul II Academy girls lacrosse team scored two goals in the final 27 seconds to edge Benjamin 13-12 on Friday night.

Katie Trainor tied the match with 27 seconds left and, 10 seconds later, Madison Kennedy scored the game-winner for the Eagles (13-4).

King’s Academy 12, Coral Springs Charter 2: Mackenzie Marsh scored four goals and Molly Erneston added three goals as the Lions (12-2) dominated the Panthers in West Palm Beach.

BOYS LACROSSE

Cardinal Newman 7, South Fork 6: Grant Quattlebaum and Ryland Tishko each scored two goals and Joey Mockoviak had 17 saves as the Crusaders edged the Bulldogs late Thursday.

FLAG FOOTBALL

Suncoast 26, Palm Beach Gardens 0: Selena Aguirre scored two touchdowns, and Sydney Panzone and Sakeria Jones each scored touchdowns as the Chargers (4-0) shut out the Gators.
