Roundup: Park Vista girls lacrosse earns victory


Bri Cook scored four goals, leading the Park Vista girls lacrosse team to a 10-5 victory over Wellington on Thursday in Wellington.

Aubrey Jerome and Hannah Alderman added two goals each and Rohdena Innocent had 10 saves for the Cobras (1-3).

Vero Beach 20, Cardinal Newman 7: Brooke Papenfuss scored three goals, Piper Sendrich added a goal and three draw controls, and Nataly Corrales had nine saves, but the Crusaders (2-2) fell to the Indians in West Palm Beach.

St. Andrew’s 15, Spanish River 13: Taylor Mullen scored five goals, Marlie Weprin added three goals, Emma and Piper Braden contributed two apiece and Kendall Likosar had nine saves as the Scots edged the Sharks late Wednesday in Boca Raton.

BOYS LACROSSE

King’s Academy 12, Palm Beach Central 1: Trace Hogan had five goals and Colton McDonald had seven saves as the Lions (3-1) routed the Broncos in West Palm Beach.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Forest Hill d. Santaluces 25-11, 25-10, 25-19: Vasilios Apostolopoulos had 10 aces and 12 digs and Julian Vega added 12 kills, four blocks and two aces as the Falcons (1-0) swept the Chiefs in Lantana.

Park Vista d. Dwyer 25-23, 25-20, 23-25, 25-21: Noah Mertens had 16 kills, three digs and a block and Thomas Curry added 12 kills and four digs, but the Panthers (1-2) fell to the Cobras in Palm Beach Gardens.

John I. Leonard d. Jupiter 25-21, 25-16, 25-23: Sebastian Gamarra had 11 kills, seven service points and four aces and Moises Rodriguez added five service points, four assists, three kills and six digs as the Lancers (2-0) swept the Warriors in Greenacres.

Spanish River d. Olympic Heights 25-14, 25-19, 25-20: Conrad Roszkowski had 10kills, Christopher Colon added 20 assists and Mason Williams contributed eight kills as the Sharks (2-1) swept the Lions in Boca Raton.
