Roundup: Cardinal Newman softball team stops Dwyer


Sarah Polak was 4-for-5 with three RBIs, leading teh Cardinal Newman softball team to an 11-4 victory over Dwyer on Friday.

Maggie Foley went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBIs and four runs scored and Lillie Rodriguez had a hit and two RBIs for the Crusaders (7-8).

West Boca Raton 7, Seminole Ridge 6: Kayla Joaquin was 3-for-4 with the game-winning single as the Bulls (10-10) edged the Hawks in Boca Raton.

No. 7 Olympic Heights 6, Seminole Ridge 5: Theresa Stettner was 2-for-4 with two RBIs; Amanda Bosco went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, and Kaitlyn Cunningham pitched a complete game with seven strikeouts as the Lions (16-4) edged the Hawks late Thursday.

Benjamin 21, Jupiter 5: Hanna Hilcoff had five goals, two assists, and four draw controls and Jenna Byrne added five goals and an assist, leading the Buccaneers (10-8) over the Warriors in the District 23 championship at Palm Beach Gardens.
