Girls soccer: Park Vista improves to 3-0 with rout


Samantha Bloom scored four goals, leading the Park Vista girls soccer team to an 8-0 rout of Royal Palm Beach on Wednesday in Royal Palm Beach.

Emilie Velez added two goals for the Cobras (3-0).

Boca Raton 8, Atlantic 0: Quinn Knapp scored two goals and Lara Larco earned her third shutout of the season as the Bobcats (3-1) cruised past the Eagles in Delray Beach.

Lake Worth 5, Glades Central 1: Michele Bemetiz scored two goals and Carolyn Hernandez added another, leading the Trojans (1-1) over the Raiders in Belle Glade.

Wellington 8, Dreyfoos 0: Abby Bryan scored a hat trick and Jaiya Anderson added two goals as the Wolverines (2-0-1) coasted past the Jaguars in Wellington.

Benjamin 8, Pahokee 0: Nicole Vernis had two goals and two assists, and Well Carr added two goals, as the Buccaneers routed the Blue Devils in Palm Beach Gardens.

Spanish River 6, Deerfield Beach 0: Kayla Chandler scored two goals and Sai Rich added a goal along with three saves, as the Sharks (2-1-1) rolled over the Bucks in Boca Raton.

Olympic Heights 0, Lauderdale Lakes-Boyd Anderson 0: Victoria Barreto stopped a penalty kick and had six saves to earn the shutout as the Lions (2-0-2) tied the Cobras in Boca Raton.
