Girls basketball: No. 8 Jupiter earns 20th victory

Aayden Ghee scored 15 points, leading the eighth-ranked Jupiter girls basketball team to a 61-25 rout of Jensen Beach on Thursday night in Jupiter.

Carley Salter added 12 and Megan McCants and Veronica Edwards contributed nine points apiece for the Warriors (20-5).

No. 6 Palm Beach Gardens 55, Port St. Lucie-Centennial 52: Kiera Brown had 20 points, 11 rebounds and seven steals and Tatiana St. Louis added 10 points as the Gators (17-5) held off the Eagles in Palm Beach Gardens.

Palm Beach Central 54, Atlantic 50: Shelby Gard scored 16 points and Deja Cook contributed 13 as the Broncos (9-15) held off the Eagles (5-14) in Delray Beach. Amari Allen scored 15 points and Zykara Carter added 12 for Atlantic.

Seminole Ridge 45, Lake Worth Christian 42: Jahnae Midget had 22 points and nine rebounds, Aneesha Cason added 13 points and nine rebounds and Lynzie Smikle contributed nine points and 11 rebounds as the Hawks (13-10) held off the Defenders in Loxahatchee. Jillian Schenk scored 17 points for the Defenders.

Park Vista 48, American Heritage 12: Brooke Bogatz had 18 points, six steals and five assists, Cayla Polsky added 11 points and five rebounds and Emily Mauser contributed 10 points and four steal as the Cobras (13-9) overpowered the Stallions in Boynton Beach.

King’s Academy 51, Fort Lauderdale-Pine Crest 40: Haley Gantt made four 3-pointers and scored 19 points and Madison Lee added 11 as the Lions (16-7) defeated the Panthers in West Palm Beach.

Berean Christian 47, Inlet Grove 21: Zoe Baumeler scored 12 points and Therezhina Graham added 11 as the Bulldogs (13-9) handled the Hurricanes in Riviera Beach.
