Boys basketball: Park Vista upsets No. 10 Santaluces

Sherman Royal scored 24 points, leading Park Vista to a 70-69 upset of No. 10 and Santaluces in a District 10-9A quarterfinal Tuesday night in Lantana.

Zach Riegle added 14 points for the seventh-seeded Cobras.

Tylor Miler scored 20 points, Chance Dixon added 17 and Justin Nichelson contributed 11 for third-seeded Santaluces (18-9).

Park Vista will face second-seeded Atlantic in the semifinals at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

No. 4 Forest Hill 81, West Boca Raton 55: Mekhi Millender had 12 points, eight rebounds and five assists and D’ante Daniels added 12 points, six assists and four steals to lead the second-seeded Falcons (23-3) over the seventh-seeded Bulls in a District 13-8A quarterfinal in West Palm Beach.

No. 5 Palm Beach Lakes 81, Olympic Heights 55: Sheldon Edwards scored 24 points, Eldridge Franklin added 20 and Giancarlo Rosado contributed 17 points as the third-seeded Rams routed the sixth-ranked Lions in a District 13-8A quarterfinal in Palm Beach Gardens. Austin Geller scored 25 points for Olympic Heights.

Boca Raton 62, Spanish River 51: Cade Long scored 19 points and Max Demeus added 18 as the fifth-seeded Blazers defeated the fourth-ranked Sharks in a District 10-9A quarterfinal in Boca Raton. The Bobcats advance to face top-seeded Lake Worth in Wednesday’s regional semifinals.

Jupiter 57, Palm Beach Gardens 41: Josh Williams scored 12 points and Demeatrius Brown added 11 as the fourth-seeded Warriors downed the fifth-ranked Gators in a District 9-9A quarterfinal in Wellington. Jupiter will face Wellington in a semifinals matchup at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Jupiter Christian 82, Vero Beach-St. Edward’s 44: Brothers Gethro and Gedeon Germinal each scored 22 points as the second-seeded Eagles (21-5) routed the seventh-seeded Pirates in a District 7-3A quarterfinal in Jupiter.
