basketball: Jupiter girls roll to 12th victory


Aayden Ghee scored 15 points, leading the Jupiter girls basketball team to a 53-30 rout of Fort Pierce Westwood on Wednesday night in Fort Pierce.

Megan McCants added nine points for the Warriors (12-2).

Palm Beach Lakes 81, Dwyer 22: Keishmy Ayuso had 30 points, Rashara Simmons contributed 11 points and five steals, and Shaneicia Pinniy added 10 points and nine rebounds as the Rams (13-1) trounced the Panthers in West Palm Beach.

Wellington 58, Pahokee 32: Camryn Debose had 12 points and 11 rebounds, Sydney Jones added 10 points and 11 rebounds, and Jill Duncan contributed 13 points and six assists as the Wolverines (12-2) handled the Blue Devils in Pahokee.

Lake Worth 40, Boynton Beach 15: Recilia Nonombre had 18 points, and Donyell Harris added 11 points and five rebounds as the Trojans (10-7) handled the Tigers in Boynton Beach.

Oxbridge Academy 50, Inlet Grove 12: Nashani Gilbert-Taylor led all scorers with 19 points and Haley Howarth added 13 as the Thunderwolves (13-4) rolled over the Hurricanes in West Palm Beach.

Cardinal Newman 43, Glades Central 28: Bianca Cantando had 20 points, eight rebounds, five assists and five steals as the Crusaders (8-9) stopped the Raiders in West Palm Beach.

Benjamin 67, Fort Lauderdale-Pine Crest 50: Emma Laszewski had 19 points and 12 rebounds and Hannah Hilcott and Devyn Dyett added 12 points apiece as the Buccaneers (12-2) defeated the Panthers in Palm Beach Gardens.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Somerset Canyons 69, West Boca Raton 58: Karl Jayseus had 14 points and nine rebounds, Anderson Estime added 10 points and five steals and Michael Maignan contributed 10 points and 10 rebounds as the Cougars (6-4) defeated the Bulls in Boca Raton.

Santaluces 75, Boca Raton 63: Cade Long scored 27 points and Max Demeus added 13, but the Bobcats (9-4) fell to the Chiefs late Tuesday in Boca Raton.
