Basketball: Grandview Prep boys top Glades Day


Cross Pratapo made seven 3-pointers and scored 34 points, helping the Grandview Prep boys basketball team edge Glades Day 64-63 on Wednesday night in Belle Glade.

David Yudien added 15 points for the Pride (2-0).

A.J. McPhee made three 3-pointers and scored 24 points to lead Glades Day (0-2).

Benjamin 67, Jupiter Christian 60: Ben Lubarsky scored 24 points, Jordan Travis added 15 and Kaiir Elam contributed 14 as the Buccaneers defeated the Eagles in Palm Beach Gardens.

Park Vista 71, John I. Leonard 53: Jerquan Worthen scored 25 points, but the Lancers fell to the Cobras late Tuesday in Lake Worth.

GIRLS

Grandview Prep 66, Glades Day 1: Alexis Roma scored 17 points, 10 assists and seven steals and Danielle Montelbano added 19 points and five assists as the Pride (2-2) rolled over the Gators in Belle Glade. Sydney Arroyo made 1 of 3 shots from the free-throw line for the Gators.

St. Andrew’s 41, American Heritage 17: Sydney Rieland scored 11 points and Alexa Gutchess added 10 points, giving the Scots the win over the Stallions in Boca Raton.

Spanish River 65, Royal Palm Beach 30: Olivia Swendenson scored 19 points and Casey Mackie added 16, leading the Sharks (2-2) over the Wildcats (1-3) in Royal Palm Beach. Ania Banks scored eight points for the Wildcats.
