Baseball: Benjamin routs Palm Beach Central in Santaluces Slam

Isaiah Thomas was 2-for-3 with three RBIs, leading Benjamin to an 11-1 rout of Palm Beach Central at the Santaluces Slam on Thursday night in Lantana.

Parker Haskin and Aaron Steinhart also were 2-for-3 and Gavin Anderson struck out seven in four innings for Benjamin.

Santaluces 7, Jupiter 4: Josh Vega (1-0) gave up one earned run in six innings, A.J. Orrico was 1-for-2 with two runs scored and two walks, Angel Diaz tripled, drove in a run and scored two runs and Miguel Peralta was 2-for-2, with a double and an RBI as the Chiefs (3-0) defeated the Warriors at the Santaluces Slam Tournament in Lantana.

Suncoast 4, Cardinal Newman 1: Brandon Leon, Nathaniel Brodsky and Jack Virden each went 2-for-4 and Garrett Parkins struck out eight in six innings as the Chargers handled the Crusaders in West Palm Beach.

Jensen Beach 4, Oxbridge Academy 0: The Falcons shut out the ThunderWolves in Jensen Beach.

Suncoast 13, Forest Hill 7: Brandon Leon was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, Nathaniel Brodsky went 2-for-3 with a double and Anthony Tagaste had a double and two RBI as the Chargers (3-2) handled the Falcons late Wednesday at the Forest Hill City Tournament in West Palm Beach.
