Baseball: Benjamin handles Jupiter at Santaluces Slam


Parker Haskin was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs, leading Benjamin to a 10-5 victory over Jupiter at the Santaluces Slam on Friday night in Lantana.

Aaron Steinhart added two hits, two RBIs and a run scored for the Buccaneers.

Jake Garland and Peyton Moon had two RBIs apiece for Jupiter.

Dwyer 10, Santaluces 0 (5): Jordan Coleman pitched a two-hitter with four strikeouts and Danny Lynch added two doubles and two RBIs as the Panthers (3-1) shut down the Chiefs in the championship game of the Santaluces Slam in Lantana. Kyle Moore had two hits in the win.

Jupiter Christian 14, Palm Beach Lakes 1 (5): Jay Carnicella had two stolen bases, two runs scored and two RBIs and Ryan Mellillo added two runs scored and two RBIs as the Eagles routed the Rams in Jupiter.

Somerset Canyons 24, St. Andrew’s 8: Bryan Ariza had two hits, including a home run, and four RBIs and Jake Molloy added two hits, including a homer, and three RBIs as the Cougars cruised past the Scots in Boca Raton.

Boca Raton Christian 16, Atlantic Christian 0: Jordan Garcia was 3-for-3 with a double and pitched three hitless innings with eight strikeouts, Van Kimmey went 4-for-4 with a double and Blake Calder was 2-for-3 with a home run as the Blazers routed the Sharks in West Palm Beach.
