Football: No. 1 Oxbridge holds on; Jupiter ends skid

Gio Richardson threw touchdown passes to James Meeks and Jordan Cash to lift top-ranked Oxbridge Academy to a 14-6 victory over Palm Beach Lakes on Friday night in West Palm Beach.

With the victory, the ThunderWolves improved to 7-1 on the season.

Teja Young had a 3-yard touchdown run for Palm Beach Lakes (4-6).

No. 4 Palm Beach Central 56, John I. Leonard 0: Jeremiah Anderson had two interception returns for touchdown, as the Broncos (7-2) coasted past the Lancers (1-8) in Wellington.

No. 8 Seminole Ridge 20, Royal Palm Beach 0: Kaimyn Castilla threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Ty’korian Brown and Justin Allie added a 15-yard rushing score as the Hawks (8-2) shut out the Wildcats (0-10) in Loxahatchee.

No. 9 Forest Hill 28, Spanish River 21: Darius McClendon had an interception return for a touchdown and Bryyon Jones and Adrian Moncrieffe each contributed long touchdown runs as the Falcons (8-1) held off the Sharks (3-6) in West Palm Beach.

Jupiter 14, Stuart-South Fork 11: Grant Willard caught a 23-yard touchdown pass to lead the Warriors (1-8) past the Bulldogs (1-8) in Jupiter. J.J. Dillard started the scoring with a 6-yard run for Jupiter, which snapped a 34-game losing streak.

Jupiter Christian 42, Mount Dora Academy 10: Reese Johnson rushed for 200 yards and three touchdowns and also had a touchdown catch and Shane Sawyer added 125 rushing yards and two touchdowns, leading the Eagles (8-2) to the rout of the Bulldogs (9-1) in Mount Dora.
