Twitter reacts to Florida State’s poor first half against Boston College

It has been a long, disappointing season for Florida State.

Losing Deondre Francois against No. 1 Alabama in the opening game of 2017 turned out to be foreshadowing for what has been a year to forget for Seminoles fans. They entered Friday night’s game against Boston College at 2-4 and finding themselves in danger of missing a bowl altogether if they weren’t able to get things corrected in time.

Unfortunately for the Seminoles, a Boston College team that had scored 86 points in their last two contests against Louisville and Virginia was waiting for them. The Eagles opened up a 21-0 lead with 6:40 left in the first half, but a late field goal by Florida State brought it to 21-3 with 44 seconds left. On top of that, they saw James Blackman go down with what appeared to be an arm injury at the tail end of the half.

Naturally, fans on Twitter – not just Florida State fans, but viewers in particular – had plenty to say about the Seminoles’ poor showing in the opening 30 minutes.

Florida State does realize it doesn’t get a high first-round draft pick for being really lousy, right? pic.twitter.com/svLb3jzIBn

It remains to be seen how fast and how often Ryan Tannehill and the Dolphins actually pick up the pace this season. But it seems Tannehill really wants to. And we know Gase wants to. It&rsquo...
