Report: Longtime UCLA assistant could leave for Nevada job

New UCLA coach Chip Kelly brought in most of his own people to fill out his coaching staff after taking over for Jim Mora but retained a few assistants. But one of them, who has been at the school for more than a decade, may be headed to another program.

Tracy Pierson of BruinReportOnline.com is reporting that tight ends coach Angus McClure has been offered a job at Nevada. He would be the Wolf Pack’s offensive line coach and assistant head coach, according to Pierson.

McClure has been with UCLA since 2007, hired by then-coach Karl Dorrell as recruiting coordinator. He was retained by Rick Neuheisel in 2008 and by Mora in 2012, having spent time coaching both the offensive and defensive lines as well as special teams before Kelly moved him to tight ends for 2018.
