Possible impact

The NCAA announced new legislation on Wednesday surrounding redshirt and transfer rules. How could that affect Nebraska on the recruiting trail? Land of 10’s Chris Bumbaca broke the possible impact down.

A well-deserved raise

After winning his second national title in three years, Nebraska volleyball coach John Cook has received a well-deserved raise.

Potential grad transfer?

Bowling Green graduate transfer Cameron Jefferies could be a possible graduate transfer for Nebraska, especially considering the Huskers’ current depth in the secondary.

Adding strength

Nebraska freshman quarterback Adrian Martinez has added a lot of strength and weight in the offseason so far. Quarterbacks coach Mario Verduzco said he is around 205 pounds now.

Alternate thoughts

Athletic director Bill Moos doesn’t mind the occasional alternate uniform for Nebraska, but he’d prefer not to make it a regular thing for the Huskers.

Wisdom from Barrett Ruud

Need a little motivation to get through the rest of the work week? Inside linebackers coach Barrett Ruud is here to help.

Competitive culture: On Adam Gase’s Dolphins, no player entitled to start, or dress, any given week

When the Dolphins start a new week of practice, coach Adam Gase generally has a good idea of the players who will end up inactive the following Sunday. But in no way is it etched in stone. In fact, players have been been “up” or “down” as coaches and players say, based on their practice performance on offense, defense...

Keiser rally falls short as Seahawks lose school’s first home game

Roughly a decade after the idea of a football program was first floated and after three long weeks on the road to begin their inaugural season, the Keiser Seahawks finally played their first home game. The record book will show a mistake-filled 21-15 loss to Georgetown College (Kentucky), a decorated program ranked ninth in the country that made the...

A conversation with Dolphins DE Cameron Wake about learning, teaching and being unhappy

Whenever Cameron Wake flashes a smile, it always seems like it’s escaping from him. He’d prefer to maintain the image of the bad, brooding defensive end who exists only to demolish opposing quarterbacks. He rarely seems less happy, by the way, than when he does his weekly media availability. Or media obligation, as Wake puts it. When told...

Dolphins begrudgingly admire Marshawn Lynch’s powerful running style

Dolphins defensive coordinator Matt Burke has trouble getting himself in the right frame of mind to give Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch his due. The nature of his job makes it hard to think of Lynch as anything other than a problem he must deal with in Sunday’s game. But if he steps back for a moment, it seems like Lynch would be one of...
