A grocery store fight over a moved shopping cart and who was next in line recently led to more than just heated words being exchanged.
The dispute happened on Sunday inside of a Tallahassee Publix when Jessica Mock, 36, left her cart in a checkout line because she forgot to get Tupperware, according to a Leon County Sheriff’s report obtained by the Tallahassee Democrat.
When she returned, she discovered that a woman had moved it. They got into a verbal fight, but then both checked out in separate lanes.
The spat rolled into the parking lot when Mock pulled a gun on the woman, who had just unloaded her groceries, the Tallahassee Democrat reported.
“(The victim) stated she blacked out near this time. She stated she was in fear for her life when this occurred,” according to the sheriff’s office report.
The woman eventually got into her car, with her two children, and then left with Mock following them. The incident came to a close when the woman called for help and deputies arrived.
Mock was booked into the Leon County Detention Center on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.
