VIDEO: Girl, 13, attacked during breakfast at North Miami school

A 13-year-old girl was beaten up by a bunch of students during breakfast at a North Miami charter school on Thursday.

The incident was captured on cellphone video, and the girl’s mother told WPLG that she wants those involved to be criminally charged.

The incident took place at ASPIRA Raul Arnaldo Martinez Charter School in North Miami after the teen said something about another student’s mother, according to a North Miami police report obtained by WPLG.

The video captures students punching the 13-year-old while others jump up and down on tables cheering and screaming them on.

The police report says that no one was injured and lunchroom monitors stopped the fight, WPLG stated.

Rita Joseph disputes the report saying that her daughter went to the doctor and has injuries to her back, head and legs.

Five students were suspended, but Joseph said that’s not enough.

“After 10 days,” she told WPLG, “they're going to be home, they're going to eat, they're going to rest and come back to fight her again.”
