UPDATE: Palm City man, 85, found unharmed


Update 3:55 p.m.: Ambroise Searle has been found unharmed, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office said.

Original story: An 85-year-old Palm City man has gone missing and authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding him.

A Silver Alert was issued for Ambroise Gary Searle. He left his home in Palm City at about 6 p.m. Thursday to go to Port St. Lucie. According to the sheriff’s office, family members spoke to Searle this morning at about 8 a.m. and he stated that he was somewhere in Tradition and could not find his way home.

He may now be in the Stuart area near Walmart, the sheriff’s office said.

Anyone with with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 772-220-7000.
