Original Story: President Donald Trump is  expected to meet with Speaker of the House Paul Ryan at Mar-a-Lago this afternoon to discuss his legislative agenda.

The meeting comes four days after a school shooting in Parkland that left 17 students and teachers dead and amid protests demanding tougher gun control laws.

Students nationwide plan to walk out of classes for 17 minutes on March 14 in an effort organized by the Women’s March, which brought thousands of women to Washington last year.

Trump has said nothing about gun control after the shooting but in a tweet posted Saturday blamed Democrats for failing to pass gun control legislation under President Obama.

The president did not golf on Saturday, breaking with his usual routine during his visits to Palm Beach. Bloomberg news reported he avoided the golf course out of respect for victims of the shooting. It is not known if the president will golf today.

Last night the president attended the inaugural fundraiser for Orphan’s Promise, a children’s ministry affiliated with the Christian Broadcasting Network. The network was founded by televangelist Pat Robertson, host of the 700 Club.

Several of the biggest names on the network attended the event, including David Brody, host of the talk show The Brody File, and reporter Jenna Browder, the host of Faith Nation.
