Also unknown is whether the president will travel to Palm Beach after Orlando. The president’s last visit to Mar-a-Lago, his private club, was Feb. 2. He played golf and hosted a Super Bowl party at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach.

Next Saturday, Feb. 17, Orphan’s Promise will hold a fundraiser, “Dream Gala” at Mar-a-Lago. Orphan’s Promise is a children’s ministry of the Christian Broadcasting Network, founded by televangelist Pat Robertson. Robertson, a Trump supporter, interviewed the president on his television program, The 700 Club, both during the campaign and after the election.

At least 20 charities cancelled their events at Mar-a-Lago after the president’s comments about deadly violence at a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia in August.

However, Orphan’s Promise decided to hold its inaugural gala at the  president’s private club because several major donors wanted the venue, a spokesman for the group said.
