Stuart roofer wins $8 million in Florida Lottery

Stuart resident Miguel Mendoza, a 23-year-old roofer, won $8.45 million in Florida Lottery’s $10,000 A Week For Life scratch-off game.

Mendoza, who has five brothers and a sister, opted to get his payment as a lump sum of $8.45 million, according to a Florida Lottery news release.

He told lottery officials he doesn’t plan to change his lifestyle much.

“Nah, I’ll be the same,”  he told lottery officials Tuesday.

19-year-old wins $2 M lottery prize in Jupiter  

Mendoza lives near the store — Smart Dollar in the 400 block of Southeast Monterey Road — where the ticket was purchased.

The store gets a $20,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
