NEW: Truckers stop man trying to jump onto Turnpike in Orlando


At least half a dozen truck drivers in Orlando came to the rescue Tuesday afternoon when a man attempted to jump off an overpass and onto the interstate. 

The incident happened after noon, and by 3 p.m., emergency crews and officers helped the man safely come down on his own, Florida Highway Patrol reported. 

Trucks stopped the northbound and southbound lanes during the incident.
