Brad Faxon revealed what it’s like to golf with not only the President of the United States, but also Tiger Woods and the current world No. 1 Dustin Johnson.
Faxon played a “casual round” of golf at Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter Friday and the next day penned the details for Golfweek.com.
While some might be intimidated to play with the president, Faxton wrote, “[Trump’s] a fun guy to joke around with. You would think you’d have to tip-toe around a bit with the President, but he immediately puts you at ease.”
Faxon has played with Trump before, but this was the first time since Trump has taken office. Faxton said, “The President was gracious and entertaining. He told some stories, things he loves about the job and things he doesn’t love.”
The rest of Faxon’s takeaways from the outing were about Woods.
“Tiger looked great to me. He was happy and, more than anything, he’s finally pain-free,” Faxton said.
Faxon mentioned several times that he’s “excited” to see Tiger play -- especially at the level he was playing at over the weekend. According to Faxon, Tiger was reportedly outdriving Johnson.
“It’s obviously different playing a fun, casual round like this as opposed to a tournament,” Faxon wrote. “But [Tiger’s] in a great place mentally and physically.”
