Miss last night’s SpaceX launch? Watch it here now

Couldn’t stay up late enough to watch the Falcon 9 launch from Cape Canaveral?

SpaceX recorded the 12:33 a.m. Tuesday takeoff and shared the production on its website. It was the 50th time the company has launched one of its signature Falcon 9 rockets.

If you don’t want to watch the entire 54-minute video and would rather just see the launch, jump to about 19 minutes in.

The Falcon X’s mission was completed 33 minutes into flight when it delivered the communications satellite — the Hispasat 30W-6 — into orbit.

Made by the Spanish firm Hispasat, the satellite weighs about 6 metric tons and is the third largest geostationary satellite SpaceX has flown.

It will be used to help provide service to television, broadband, corporate networks and other telecommunication companies. With a 15-year lifespan, it will serve the coverage areas of the Americas, Europe and North Africa.
