$1.5 M project expected in Jupiter Farms to finish in June

New turn lanes and drainage are being added in Jupiter Farms

Installing new eastbound and westbound turn lanes on Indiantown and Jupiter Farms roads is scheduled to be finished in mid-June.

New drainage and paving is also being added on the project that started in December.

Orange barricades are up and traffic is being rerouted at the intersection while the work is being completed. About 23,000 vehicles daily drive that section of Indiantown Road, according to Palm Beach County Department of Engineering records.

The work is being done on Indiantown Road about 3/4 of a mile from Jupiter Farms Road east to the Sierra Square Plaza. On Jupiter Farms Road, the work is being done on a stretch about 1,000 feet south from Indiantown Road.

The cost of the project by Rosso Site Development Inc. is about $1.5 million, according to county records.

The busy intersection, which has a traffic signal, is just west of Riverbend/Loxahatchee River Battlefield Park.

The construction is at a shopping center that includes a Publix, McDonalds, Dunkin’ Donuts, gas station, retail and business offices and the Jupiter Farms Elks Lodge.
