Weekend events in Boynton: Live music, Haitian festival, food hall


1- Music on the Rocks

The Boynton Beach Community Redevelopment Agency will host this free event Friday at 6 p.m. Completely Unchained will perform at the Historic Woman’s Club of Boynton Beach at 1010 S. Federal Highway.

2- Food Hall

The Boynton Beach Mall is hosting a Pop-up Food Hall on Saturday and Sunday at the north end of the mall by Sears. The event is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.

The mall will look like a traditional food hall and will feature more than 30 specialty food eateries and gourmet food. The event includes children’s entertainment and an indoor table and chairs. The food to be served includes conch salads, BBQ, soft-shell crab po’ boys, Caribbean, Mediterranean and vegan food, hot sauces and poke bowls.

3- Haitian Showcase and Book Festival

There will be a Haitian Heritage Showcase and Book Festival Saturday at the West Boynton Beach Library at 9451 Jog Rd. The event is from 2-5 p.m. Authors and publishers to be showcased are Fequiere Vilsaint, Rebecca Hinson and Bito David. Papi Joe and Alawou Mandja will perform music and poetry.
