3 things to do in Gardens: Honda Classic, Hot Pink, Kids Crawl

Children 15 and younger get into The Honda Classic for free every day, but f amily day Saturday is especially for them. The tournament at PGA National Resort & Spa will have free games and activities all day. Tire Kingdom will give the first 1,500 children a giant golf ball for collecting autographs.

The Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Kids Zone at the Honda Pavilion will have high-energy, interactive games and contests with prizes from noon to 8 p.m. Children must be accompanied by a parent.

Parents and children can also get autographs from their favorite golfers at the autograph zone by the tournament gate next to the pro shop. Stick around to enjoy the Tire Kingdom Fireworks Spectacular at 7:30 p.m.


Hot Pink Band will play the taproom at Twisted Trunk Brewing, 2000 PGA Blvd. #5506, 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday. The cover band of seasoned musicians from Central Florida plays everything from soul to rock and roll.


Children can enjoy free Olympics-themed activities at the monthly Kids Crawl 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Carousel Court at Downtown at the Gardens, 11701 Lake Victoria Ave. There will also be carousel rides, crafts and more. The free event is ideal for children younger than five years old.
