THINGS TO DO: Food trucks and free yoga in Wellington and Royal Palm


Looking for some fun this week? Check out these upcoming events.

1. Food Truck Invasion and free concert. Wellington’s popular weekly series continues, with food trucks at the Wellington Amphitheater, 12100 Forest Hill Blvd., from 5-9:30 p.m. Thursday. This week’s performance is from the Gypsy Lane Band, which hits the stage at 6:30 p.m. Remember to bring your own seating. For more information, go to www.wellingtonfl.gov.

2. Free yoga. Royal Palm Beach is kicking off the new year with free trial yoga classes at the Recreation Center, 100 Sweet Bay Lane. Instructor Julie LaCroix will have a free class at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, and instructor Angela Reinhardt will offer free classes at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. A free outdoor session will be offered at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in front of the Sporting Center at Commons Park. The offer is good for this week of Jan. 8 only. 3. Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration. Royal Palm Beach’s 16th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration, hosted by the Caribbean Americans for Community Involvement, will be from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 15 at Royal Palm Beach High School, 10600 Okeechobee Blvd. Seating is limited.
