Pizzeria That’s Amore , the new restaurant in the Casa Costa development, had a grand opening Monday and it wasn’t just your average pizza party.
Attendees were encouraged to dress in green, white and red. Vocalist Franco Corso sang Italian tunes for the audience, which included Boynton Beach Mayor Steven Grant and Mike Simon, the director of the city’s Community Redevelopment Agency.
A line of people formed outside the door, said Natacha Koblova who owns the restaurant with Giuseppe Bianchini.
Bianchini, who is from Salerno, Italy, will bake the restaurant’s pizzas in a wood-burning brick oven from his home country. He’ll also serve his homemade mozzarella.
Also on the menu are salads and paninis, Koblova said.
The owners previously had the restaurant in Lake Worth, but closed it in June to move closer to the ocean. Casa Costa, a high rise of condominiums with retail space on the bottom on Federal Highway, is separated from the Intracoastal Waterway by the Boynton Harbor Marina.
