PBS television show to feature Boynton Beach


Boynton Beach will be the star of the show Thursday — the On the Town in The Palm Beaches show.

South Florida PBS airs the TV show, which explores popular tourist destinations and unique attractions in the county. This Thursday’s show will be all about the Boynton area.

The episode will show the Boynton Harbor Marina, Boynton Beach Oceanfront Park, the Schoolhouse Children’s Museum and Learning Center, Bedner’s Farm Fresh Market, and the Lantana Nature Preserve.

It’ll be on WXEL at 5:30 p.m. and WPBT2 at 7:30 p.m. Repeats will air Dec. 23 and Dec. 24, according to a news release. Residents from Sebastian to the Florida Keys will be able to see it.

Previous episodes featured Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Wellington. A future episode will be centered on agriculture in the Glades communities.

The show is made possible by the Palm Beach County Tourist Development Council in cooperation with the Palm Beach County Film and Television Commission, according to the release.
