Palm Springs approves new manager’s contract


The village council approved the contract of incoming manager Richard Reade Thursday on a 5-0 vote. Reade, the sustainability officer and public information officer for Delray Beach, signed a two-year contract worth $130,000 per year June 21. He will succeed Karl Umberger as manager. Umberger is retiring after 14 years. Reade will begin work Aug. 7.
