One of Wellington’s most popular playgrounds will close for two days this week as crews perform work.

Scott’s Place Playground, 12190 Forest Hill Blvd., will be closed Wednesday and Thursday as the foundation is poured for a new shade structure that will be installed at the park, the village said in a news release.

Weather permitting, the park will reopen Friday, the village said.

The cost to install the new shade structure is $24,610, Village Engineer Tom Lundeen told The Palm Beach Post in November

Scott’s Place is a barrier-free playground with wheelchair-accessible activities.
