Pence arrived at Mar-a-Lago just after 8:30 Saturday night to have dessert with the president, first lady Melania Trump and their dinner guests: Marvel Entertainment CEO Ike Perlmutter, Laura Perlmutter and Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross.

The vice president joins Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions on the list of high-profile officials photographed with guests at Mar-a-Lago. The president was photographed at Mar-a-Lago Friday night when he stopped in at a charity event to congratulate his friend, Patrick Park, who was being honored. Trump has been seen at such events on each of his five trips to Palm Beach since his inauguration.

Loeb — a descendant of the Lehman family that launched the financial firm Lehman Brothers, for which he worked — has been at times a businessman, a politician and a film producer.

He unsuccessfully ran for office as a Republican in Delray Beach in 2005, then for a seat in the Florida Senate in 2009 before later leaving that race. He famously was engaged to “Modern Family” actress Sofia Vergara. They split in 2014, and Vergara the next year married actor Joe Manganiello at The Breakers, where Pence spoke Saturday night.

Loeb owns Loeb’s Crunch, which distributes a variety of crunchy toppings. According to his IMDb profile, Loeb is acting in several films now in production. He had roles in two films released last year: “Swing State” and “Precious Cargo.”
