This will be the first look at the massive development’s model homes and sales center for residents in the surrounding area. Builder Minto Communities has been landscaping and putting up signage along Seminole Pratt Whitney Road through the site for the past several weeks.

Visitors on Saturday will be able tour six of Minto’s model homes, prices for which start in the $270,000 range. Westlake’s new sales center also will be open, with a cafe, children’s playrooms, and displays showing the community plans.

“With 4,500 homes, a large town center and new parks planned, Westlake is the most significant new residential project in more than a decade in the county,” Minto said in a news release.

At Saturday’s event there will be food, face painting, pumpkin painting, lawn games, an obstacle course for children and a photo booth.
