Water for Wellington homeowners on Trianon Place in the Versailles neighborhood will be temporarily shut off Wednesday as utilities crews make a hydrant valve repair, the village said Tuesday.

The shut-off will happen at 9 a.m. Wednesday for homes from 10424-10481 Trianon Place. A precautionary boil water notice will be in effect for those homes from that time until two consecutive days of testing show satisfactory bacteriological results.

Affected homes received blue informational door hangers on Monday afternoon, and a second yellow tag will be placed Wednesday, followed by a green tag when the water is safe to drink.
