A 21-year-old Port St. Lucie man on his way to visit his grandfather in the hospital ended driving into someone’s home late Monday night.

After crashing his white four-door through the front door and into the living room, Samuel V. Massucci told police that he drank three Coronas earlier before heading out, according to a police report obtained by TCPalm.

The accident happened around 10:45 p.m. in the 500 block of NE Twylite Terrace.

“Miraculously, the two adults and two small children (inside the home) were uninjured,” police said in a Facebook post.

"I just woke up and there was my house and the car was all pressed up against my house," Amanda Palka-Torresson said during a 911 call, according to TCPalm.

Officers arrived to find Massucci exhibiting the telltale signs of having one too many: slurred speech, stumbling and emitting an alcoholic odor, TCPalm stated.

At the police department, a sobriety test revealed that Massucci’s blood alcohol content was 0.19 percent, more than double the legal state limit.

Massucci, of Port St. Lucie, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and DUI with property damage.
