Things to do this weekend in Palm Beach Gardens:

1. Interactive story time. This is story time like your children have never experienced it before. Author Suzanne Cotsakos and illustrator Ryan McCulloch will host an interactive story time with drawing demonstrations and book signing 11 a.m. Saturday at the Barnes & Noble in Legacy Place, 11380 Legacy Ave., in Palm Beach Gardens. They will share “Figley’s Search for the Perfect Pet” and “Figley’s Little White Lie,” the newest books in their Mutasia series.

2. Barks, brews and bands. There will be live music, food trucks, a pet photo contest and family fun at the Barks, Brews & Bands festival 3 to 11 p.m. Saturdayin the back alley at The Kelsey Theater, 700 Park Ave. in Lake Park. Well-behaved pets are welcome outside only. Village Animal Clinic is presenting the festival to raise money for Big Dog Ranch Rescue, Pets for Patriots and the Adopt a Cat Foundation.

3. Jazz brunch. The Dancing Crane, the restaurant at Palm Beach Gardens’ new golf clubhouse, is open, and its jazz brunches are in full swing. You can have a meal before or after your golf game or just eat and socialize. Sunday brunch is served 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The music is 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Call 561-630-1172 for reservations.
