Jupiter groups meet each Saturday morning for nine weeks

Jupiter program is open to all physical activity levels and ages.

Couch to 5K, a nine-week town initiative to promote a healthier lifestyle, starts March 3.

The program organized by Healthier Jupiter each Saturday morning runs through April 28. Meetings are at the Jupiter Medical Center’s Cary Grossman Health & Wellness Center , 1004 S. Old Dixie Highway.

The program is free.

The goal of the program is to help individuals gradually increase their physical activity levels enough to walk/run a 5K or 3.1 miles. Participants will receive guidance and encouragement from JMC’s Wellness Center instructors and Healthier Jupiter staff as well as the support and camaraderie of fellow training partners as they work toward their personal health and wellness goals.

The training program is open to all physical activity levels and ages. Families are encouraged to participate together.

The training program will finish with the opportunity to participate in Jupiter’s Turtle Trot 5K planned May 5th at 7:30 a.m. at Ocean Cay Park in Jupiter.
