A Greenacres-area man is accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting two children, then 10 and 6, when he was left alone with them, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office records show.
The children told a relative’s neighbor about the alleged abuse in June and the family moved out of the home they lived in with the suspect, Carlos Quinones Santos, 40, records show.
Quinones Santos was arrested Feb. 27 on sexual battery charges. He is being held in the Palm Beach County Jail without the possibility of posting bond. A judge ordered he have no contact with anyone under the age of 18.
It’s unclear where the alleged sexual abuse occurred. Records indicate Quinones Santos lives south of Greenacres.
The alleged assault occurred when the children’s mother left the home to run errands, the children said. He inappropriately touched them and showed at least one of the children sexually explicit videos.
He told them not to tell anyone.
They did, though, in June after alleged repeated sexual battery because they were afraid their younger sibling would endure similar abuse, they said.
Quinones Santos admitted the children may have seen inappropriate videos, but he denied ever touching them.
