Looking for something to do this week in Wellington and Royal Palm Beach? Check out these events:

Go for a run: Join Palm Beach County’s Department of Environmental Resources Management for a 3- to 4-mile run through the Royal Palm Beach Pines Natural Area starting at 7:30 a.m. Saturday. Support a great cause: World-class equestrians will step out of their comfort zones this weekend as they compete in the World Championship Equestrian Triathlon to benefit the Neil S. Hirsch Boys & Girls Club of Wellington at 6 p.m. Sunday at Deeridge Farms, 3016-3354 120th Ave. S., Wellington. Polo, showing jumping and dressage athletes will participate — but not in their own sports. General admission is $25 and VIP is $150. For more information and tickets, go to www.bgcpbc.org.

Commemorate Black History Month: Palm Beach County libraries are celebrating Black History Month with a series of events that kick off at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Wellington branch, 1951 Royal Fern Drive. Flutist Blanche Williams, founder of “Jazz on J Street,” and other musicians will discuss the history of jazz. For more information or to preregister, call 561-790-6070.

At 2 p.m. Saturday, jazz saxophonist Shenole Latimer presents an interactive performance introducing a young audience to jazz at The Acreage branch library, 15801 Orange Blvd. For more information or to preregister, call 561-681-4100.

The Acreage branch library also will host two Black History Month Family Fun: Movie and Jeopardy nights, at 3:15 p.m. Saturday and Feb. 17. This week’s event will feature the movie “Perfect Harmony,” while the Feb. 17 movie will be “Music Culture: Negro Spiritual, Blues, Jazz, Gospel and Hip-Hop.” Snacks will be provided and all ages are welcome.
