Update, 5:10 p.m.: The Palm Beach School district reports that 11 students were on a school bus that was involved in a crash with another vehicle Monday.
A school district spokeswoman confirmed that one student was injured and taken to a hospital. The other students were released to their parents at the scene.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
Update 4:45 p.m.: Palm Beach County Fire Rescue reports reports that one student was taken to a hospital following a crash Monday afternoon between a school bus and a truck.
No other injuries were reported.
Original story: A bus transporting students from Royal Palm Beach was involved in a crash with another vehicle Monday afternoon, the Palm Beach County School district reports.
The crash happened at about 3:30 p.m. near Wallis and Haverhill roads, west of Palm Beach International airport. The school district initially received a report of injuries to three students.
The school district is working to confirm the number of injuries, a school district spokeswoman said.
School officials will contact the parents of the injured students.
A black SUV was also involved in the crash. It was not immediately clear whether anyone in the SUV was hurt.
