A Coast Guard crew from Fort Pierce responded after a good Samaritan reported that the trio’s 27-foot boat was taking on water about 8 miles east of Stuart.

The Coast Guard was able to “dewater” the boat and escort it to Sandsprit Park along the St. Lucie River in Stuart without further incident, the agency said.
