Michele’s Hallmark on Woolbright Road on Tuesday became the first Hallmark in Boynton Beach to become an official Contract Postal Provider for the United States Postal Service.
That means the store at 3707 W. Woolbright Road in Village Square Plaza has a mini post office in the back where shoppers can buy stamps, and send packages and mail. The store offers Priority and Express Mail and certified mail.
“Customers have been ecstatic about it,” owner Michele Maresca said.

Maresca bought the Hallmark, which has been at the location for about 30 years, one year ago. She said she’s wanted to bring the post office in since the beginning.
It’s a “win-win” situation for the shoppers in terms of convenience, and also for the post office, she said. She hopes the addition of this location will limit long lines at nearby post offices.
USPS representatives were at the ribbon-cutting event Tuesday and were happy to be a part of the community.
“Our main goal is to make our products accessible to the customers,” said Postmaster LaConnia Watkins.
