Ben Carson Reading Rooms have opened at Lake Park Elementary and Washington Elementary. The Ben Carson Reading Project is an initiative of the Carson Scholars Fund, founded by retired pediatric neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson and his wife, Candy. The purpose of the project is to create a literacy-enriched environment for children to develop their reading skills
The Palm Beach Poetry Festival has launched its annual high school poetry contest. Palm Beach County students can submit one original poem, 30 lines maximum, for consideration by Dec. 1.
