St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office authorities say the deaths of three people, whose bodies were found this morning in separate locations near Port St. Lucie, are connected.
A landlord found the first body shortly before 10 a.m. at a home in the 600 block of Ash Street.
The landlord had gone to the home near Oleander Avenue to check on the house, sheriff’s authorities said. That’s when the landlord saw the body. It is unclear where in the home the body was found.
A few minutes later someone called 911 about a suspicious incident about a half mile away on Shelley Terrace. Deputies found a body inside the home.
Authorities responded to a car crash in the same neighborhood a few minutes after the second body was found. The driver in that single-car crash died at a hospital, authorities said.
It was not immediately known how or when the three people died or whether their deaths are considered homicides.
The names of the deceased will not be released until positive identification has been made and next of kin has been notified, according to the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
