Florida man high on meth climbs onto stranger’s roof to howl, police say


A family woke up earlier than planned on Veterans Day to find a man high on meth on their rooftop, news reports state. 

The Vero Beach father called Indian River Sheriff’s deputies to report that at around 6 a.m. he and his sons heard someone stomping on their roof, yelling and howling, according to Channel 5 WPTV.

When deputies arrived, they encountered 31-year-old Jacob Johnson Futch.  

Futch, of Vero Beach, told them that he was up there waiting to meet with an agent from the Drug Enforcement Agency. When asked if he was on any drugs, he admitted that he took meth around 2 a.m., WPTV reported. 

Futch was charged with trespassing and booked into the Indian River County Jail. His occupation in the jail log is listed as a stock boy.
