South blotter: Police arrest intoxicated woman after witnessing her shoving roommate


BOYNTON BEACH POLICE

BATTERY

Officers were called to investigate a disturbance between two roommates in the 400 block of Bayfront Drive. When one of the roommates shoved the other in the officers’ presence, she was arrested. The 50-year-old woman refused to be placed in the patrol car and attempted to kick officers, earning a charge of resisting arrest. The woman was medically cleared because of her level of intoxication, then taken to the county jail.

DRUGS

Police arrested a 25-year-old man found in possession of cocaine and fake pot in the 100 block of East Gateway Boulevard. Another man was arrested at the scene, as he continued to disrupt the investigation after being warned numerous times to stop.

A motorist in the 400 block of Northeast 15th Avenue ignored an officer’s attempt to stop him. Police followed him a couple blocks and saw him throw items into the street. When the driver stopped in the 200 block of Northeast 15th Avenue, he was arrested. Police found several bags of pot in the vehicle. A bag the man had tossed was retrieved and found to contain crack cocaine. He was taken to the county jail.

An officer encountered a man in a park after hours in the 100 block of Northwest 10th Avenue. When ordered to stop, the man fled. As he ran, he tossed away several bags. An officer apprehended the man, Police retrieved the bags, which contained pot and crack cocaine. The man was arrested on multiple charges and taken to the county jail.

SHOTS FIRED

An officer on patrol at a park heard shots fired in the area of Northeast 20th Avenue. No evidence, victims or suspect were found.

HOME BURGLARY

A cup of spare change was stolen during a break-in at a residence in the first block of Via De Casas Sur. The burglar entered the home by cutting a patio screen, then prying the sliding glass door.

STOLEN VEHICLE

Police stopped a stolen car in the 500 block of Northwest Third Street and arrested the two occupants. A stolen firearm was found in the vehicle.

THEFT

A 20-year-old man was arrested after an internal investigation revealed that he had skimmed about $27,000 from registers at a store in the 600 block of North Congress Avenue. The store had surveillance video confirming the thefts. The man was taken to the county jail.

BOCA RATON POLICE

THEFT

A woman’s wallet was removed from her purse while she was at a restaurant in the 5800 block of North Federal Highway.

Bicycles were stolen from the 500 block of Plaza Real, the 900 block of North Federal Highway and the first block of East Camino Real.

License plates were taken off vehicles in the 200 block of Southwest Third Street, the 5200 block of Town Center Circle, the 6400 block of Northeast Seventh Avenue, the 300 block of Plaza Real and the 2600 block of Northwest First Avenue.

A decal was removed from a license plate on a vehicle in the 2800 block of North Federal Highway.

A cellphone was stolen in the 500 block of Plaza Real.

FRAUD

Someone gained access to an airline account belonging to a resident of the 5600 block of Rico Drive and redeemed airline miles.

TRESPASSING

A resident of the 1000 block of Cocoanut Road reported an unknown male running through the backyard.

DRUGS

Police arrested two males, ages 19 and 20, after they were found in possession of pot in the 200 block of Northeast 20th Street.

BUSINESS BURGLARY

An iPad was stolen during the overnight hours from a business in the 6000 block of West Glades Road.

VEHICLE BURGLARY

A red TaylorMade golf putter was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 1000 block of Southwest 14th Street.

VEHICLE THEFT

Someone stole a white Ford pickup from the 4500 block of Northeast Fourth Avenue.

DELRAY BEACH POLICE

THEFT

Wireless headphones were stolen from a store in the 1500 block of South Congress Avenue.

A license plate was taken from a vehicle in the 4900 block of West Atlantic Avenue.

A case of beer was stolen from a store in the 1900 block of West Atlantic Avenue.

An unlocked bicycle left unattended for 30 minutes was stolen from the 100 block of Northeast Second Avenue.

Two bottles of liquor were shoplifted from a store in the 1500 block of South Federal Highway.

Someone stole protein powder from a store in the 16200 block of South Military Trail.

A woman reported that her identification was stolen after she left her purse on the beach in the first block of South Ocean Boulevard.

A man’s wallet was stolen in the first block of South Ocean Boulevard.

DRUGS

Police arrested a 29-year-old man found in possession of pot in the 200 block of Northwest Eighth Avenue.

HOME BURGLARY

A dirt bike was stolen from the garage of a home in the 1000 block of Miami Boulevard.

VEHICLE BURGLARY

A wallet was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 500 block of Northwest 48th Avenue.

DRUGS

A person loitering outside a closed business in the 4900 block of West Atlantic Avenue was found in possession of marijuana and arrested.
