NEW: West Palm man accused of threatening Palm Tran driver with knife

A West Palm Beach man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly threatened a Palm Tran bus driver with a knife, according to an arrest report.

Cody Demarco Brown, 39, became angry after the bus driver said she was going to throw him off the bus for eating food and making a mess, the report said. He then allegedly pulled out a “barber-style knife” and began waving it around inside the bus while yelling obscenities.

The driver was forced to park the bus in front of a gas station at Military Trail and Via Delray Boulevard in suburban Delray Beach and got off in fear of Brown, the report said.

Brown also got off the bus waving the knife at the driver, but then returned to the bus after a passenger stood outside next to the driver.

Brown allegedly refused to comply with Palm Beach County sheriff’s deputies and was wrestled to the ground and arrested.

Brown is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, resisting an officer without violence and carrying a concealed weapon. He was let out of the Palm Beach County Jail on Sunday on supervised release.
